The Ladydrawers have orchestrated a fund raising campaign to help realize “a completely amazing comics anthology examining gender, sexuality, race, economics, and labor in cultural production”!

I think the world could use something like this. Helping make it happen is easy- a few dollars, (or if you dont have it, then please share the link!) Let’s do this!

Or really little kids? … That’s why it’s so important to have more women, more people in general, more people of color and people of all ages getting into comics, reading them and then creating them. This is a medium that deserves to be made and to be read and to be enjoyed and celebrated.”

Just released a mini-comic about breaking into the comics biz! Its not so different from waiting tables I guess. Little to no job security, “feast or famine” work cycles, no insurance, benefits, etc… But if creating comics is your thing, then the fact that its so personally rewarding kinda cancels out the bad stuff.

In this handy pamphlet you will learn that if you want to work in comics, you’re probably gonna have to work in a restaurant too! Cause chances are, ya ain’t gonna make much money. (Especially if you have a vagina!)
